Left accelerationism needs a greater following. Anarchism is beautiful in concept but I think it fails to recognize two incredibly important things, we -are- a cosmopolitan society and creating disparate municipalities is antithetical to large scale production necessary for space exploration ( and subsequently something that won’t be able to properly leave hegemonic influence because I am of a strong belief that gravity wells create hegemonies) and the second which also stems from cosmopolitanism is that many of the radical left currently focus too heavily on direct action and local level changes without looking to the systemic changes that are truly necessary. Direct action and local focus have their places but focusing entirely on those aspects will not bring about the societal change that is required to reach a post-capitalism society.

As something of a Marxist, I entirely agree. I’m much more of an anarchist in theory, but in practise I advocate a form of state syndicalism, but I digress; the issue, for me, is culture and society. We need to rewrite the laws that limit social change… like… now
